Nothing More Beautiful than Grace

Yesterday, as I was writing my post I received a text from my friend Jenny. Jenny had won some tickets to a concert at Abundant Grace Baptist Church to listen to a few bands: Chris August, Unspoken, The Afters and Among the Thirsty, and invited me to join her. Little did Jenny know I had been praying for God to step into a situation where I clearly needed Him to take control. After I confirmed  I asked if she would mind my kids joining us and she thought that was a great idea. As we finalized the plans I began to tear up realizing God just stepped in. I had a prayer for that evening, an expectation and I had no doubt that God would not only hear that prayer, and answer that prayer, but that He would also find a soft and tender way to show me. Without going into do too much detail, my son is going through a difficult time right now, and as a parent I know that I cannot always provide his every need, but I also know that I have a Heavenly Father that can  and so when this opportunity presented itself I asked my Father to make himself known to Nick that evening, to break down some walls and soften his heart so that he would be able to feel the spirit of God in his life. Nick was not happy about going to this concert and for the first part of the concert he sat there with his arms folded, uninterested. As the concert went on he gradually became more and more interested as members of each band shared their testimonies, but it wasn't until The Afters lead singer began to pray for the people in the crowd that I realized that God had answered this mamma's prayer when my son reached over and took my hand. I didn't look at him, I didn't say a word to him, all I could do, without breaking down in tears, was simply whisper a "Thank You". I know that may not seem like a big deal, but my son is not a touchy feelly kind of guy and in God's infinite wisdom He knew just what to do to let me know "I heard you".
So Jenny, if you are reading my post today "Thank you" for the invitation, thank you for being the instrument that God used to answer my prayer.
I have posted the lyrics and video to one of the Unspoken songs and wanted to share it with you all because their is NOTHING more beautiful than GRACE!
"Call It Grace"
It's the light that pierces through you
To the darkest hidden place
It knows your deepest secrets
But it never looks away
It's the gentle hand that pulls you
From the judgement of the crowd
When you stand before them guilty
And you got no way out

Some may call it foolish and impossible
But for every heart it rescues, it's a miracle
It's nothing less than scandalous
This love that took our place
Just call it what it is, call it grace
Call it grace

It's the breath that's breathing new life
Into what we thought was dead
It's the favor that takes orphans
Placing crowns upon their heads
It's the hope for our tomorrows
The rock on which we stand
It's a strong and mighty fortress
Even Hell can't stand against

Amazing, unshaking
This is grace, this is grace
Unchanging, unfailing
This is grace, this is grace
